ABOUT
The Common Election Commission for the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu was constituted in October, 1994 consequent upon 73rd Amendment of the Constitution of India under Articles 243-K and 243-ZA, entrusted with the superintendence, direction, and control of the preparation of electoral rolls for, and the conduct of, all elections to Panchayats and Municipalities in the said Union Territories. UT of Ladakh was subsequently assigned to this Commission in September 2023.
